William Matthew Fling was born in Columbus, Ohio, to Bill Fling, DVM and LeRita Sizemore Traylor, a middle school teacher. The family later moved to Russell, Kentucky, where Matt spent his formative years. While studying at the University of Kentucky, he attended an acting/modeling convention in New York City where he met Diane Hardin, and upon invitation to attend her acting school, Young Actor's Space, moved to Los Angeles to pursue the film business. He is known for The Dreadful Place (2025), Pan American (2025), and Littlerock (2010).
