Aishu Devan

Aishwarya (Aishu) Devan is an American actress, music artist and dancer.Aishu is a natural and charming actress, with wit, depth, versatility and maturity well beyond her years. She can be word perfect or improvise with ease, and directors she has worked with have shared she is a joy to have on set and stage.Aishu was born and raised in Los Angeles, where she attended Glendale Montessori and the Mirman School through third grade. As a natural, confident and spontaneous performer, Aishu never missed an opportunity to entertain in class or on stage.Aishu fell in love with theater and dance at an early age, and began training in ballet, jazz and tap. Aishu has performed in several principal roles in musical theater, including in Annie (as Annie), Fiddler on the Roof (as Hodel) and Matilda (as Mrs. Wormwood).At age 6, Aishu began dancing competitively and as a soloist, and participated in several summer dance intensives by national audition at institutions like American Ballet Theater (ABT) in New York City, Joffrey Ballet in Chicago and the School of American Ballet. Aishu was invited to the year round program at ABT's JKO School of Dance and went en pointe at the age of 9. She now studies ballet at the School of American Ballet. Aishu has performed with both ABT and the New York City Ballet as a child dancer, including in George Balanchine's The Nutcracker.Apart from her strong foundation in classical ballet, Aishu is an advanced jazz, hip hop, contemporary and tap dancer with remarkable stage presence.Aishu is a talented singer with powerhouse and nuanced vocals. She is trained in classical Italian singing in addition to pop and musical theater. Aishu has been playing classical piano since the age of 5 and has performed at numerous venues in Los Angeles and New York as a solo vocalist and pianist. Aishu also plays the ukulele, and when not on stage or behind a camera, she can be found writing her own songs and accompanying herself to her covers of her favorite artists on the piano or ukulele.
